Dr. Champanaria performed reconstruction surgery in conjunction with my oncology surgeon. First, he did a right breast reconstruction with placement of a tissue expander, followed by removal of the expander and placement of an implant.I was so amazed at the high level of care I received from Dr. Champanaria and his staff. He is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate and personable.I am 7 months post surgery and extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Champanaria. He is a gem! More

I was very pleased with my experience for an implant replacement after breast reconstruction. Dr Champaneria really takes his time to address all your questions and concerns from the initial consultation through surgery and recovery. He has a great bedside manner, explaining all the options. I was a 40G with very heavy breast and one side significantly larger than the other. After having my two children, I decided to do this for myself and my livelihood. I feel very lucky that I was referred to Dr. Champaneria. I was leaning toward having a lumpectomy/radiation after finding I had DCIS on my left breast. At a first consultation, he spent 45 minutes explaining every detail and answered all questions/concerns I had. By the time I left the hospital, I decided to have a mastectomy and breast reconstruction. Dr. Champ and his staff are very personable. At every appointment and at the surgery, he spent time and talked to me making sure I felt comfortable. I feel so lucky that I was referred to Dr. Champaneria for my breast reconstruction after undergoing preventive mastectomy. At my first consultation, I immediately felt comfort/trust with him and he took plenty of time to give information and to ensure all my own questions/preferences were addressed. All appointments have been this way, never feeling rushed. He is kind, patient, and thorough in each visit. Deciding to have preventive mastectomy was tough, but knowing I had a skillful plastic surgeon certainly helped me to feel more comfortable with my decision. Before the final reconstruction surgery, I had made peace with the fact that I would probably always have slightly disfigured breasts. Dr. Campaneria is thoughtful and patient; He took the time to explain all of the options for breast reconstruction to me and my family and even went out of his way to call me when I asked him a few specific questions over email.
